The elite “Aster Awards” defines the nation’s most talented healthcare marketing professionals for outstanding excellence in advertising. So it is with great enthusiasm and excitement that Flair Studio announces being named a 2012 Silver Winner.
This comes after redesigning ThedaCare Magazine—an informative magazine serving Appleton and the greater Fox Cities region.
From concepting and storyboarding through implementing the design, it was clear that this project was going to be fun and outside the box. Using a twist of humor and more representative images to portray medical conditions, the magazine was able touch on sensitive topics in a creative and yet delicate way.
Rave reviews came back after the first edition cover portrayed a clothed plumber sitting on a toilet with a plunger in his hands, titled “Clean Pipes?” The lead story was on colorectal health and the importance of a colonoscopy. Clearly the double message grabbed people’s attention and kept them reading.
It’s a privilege to work with ThedaCare and Bottomline Marketing & Public Relations, and even better to win such a prestigious award together.
